Drinking Easily: Enjoy Alcohol and Soft Drinks

Set some rules when you drink. Enjoy favorite beverages, whether it be hard or soft but avoid having too much of it. Follow these tips that might help you.

Ice, ice, and ice – For rum, soda, or coke, it will be better if you put four or more ice cubes. The more the ice, the lesser it melts. It chills the drink without over diluting the flavor.

Tonics should be in cans – Instead of buying 1 liter of plastic bottled tonics, buy a boxful of 150ml tonic in cans, so every drink is made with a freshly opened tonic.

Avoid drinking too warm redwines – Redwines should be served at room temparature. It’s best drunk at that temperature and ought to be served at a brisk 16 – 18 degree celcius. Any warmer than that will lose it’s structure and will make it soupy.

Show no mercy for old coffee – A pack of coffee starts leaking out the freshness and flavor the moment you opened it. If it goes old in an airtight plastic bag for three weeks, it will taste dull. It hurts throwing it away because it’s expensive but it it’s old, out it goes.
