Celebrities Prefer the ‘Miracle’ Tea but are Afraid of its Side Effects

It is been acknowledged that the much talked-about ‘miracle tea’ is able to do the whole thing, hopeful to fight cancer, ward off infections, care for arthritis and even assist you lose weight.
Lindsay Lohan and Halle Berry are just some of the celebrities who favor Kombucha tea to be an effective health therapy.
The tea is usually served cold, like such an iced tea. It is packed in bottles from health food stores. But the tea can also be brewed at home through using bunches of bacteria and yeast, combining them with sugar, tea bags and water, leaving the mixture untouched for a week.

Large quantities of bacteria provide the immune system an energy increase, helping the body ward off harmful toxins.
Most regular drinkers says their illnesses such as arthritis pain, indigestion, kidney stones, eczema and insomnia have been healed by the tea, even though its health benefits are not yet proven to be really effective.
The tea has also been claimed to cure more serious diseases such as cancer, high blood pressure and even failing eyesight.
It can also help in rapid weight loss since it perks up the body’s metabolism. Some people claimed they lose 30 lbs by drinking up the tea.
However, nutritionists and health experts cautioned consumers about the little risk of side effects such as the acquisition of rashes, vomiting, jaundice, and even breathing problems.
Speculations also abound that the tea can be a toxic when stored in ceramic containers, which extract chemicals into the liquid.

In 2009, the tea was discarded from hundreds of health food stores in the USA after being discovered to contain small amounts of alcohol produced by the bacteria.
“Until more is known about both the health benefits and harmful effects surrounding this type of tea, consumption should be viewed with caution,” Dr. Emma Williams of the British Nutrition Foundation said. She also added there is less scientific proof accessible to justify the benefits of this tea.
The tea has been consumed by thousands of years by people, which has been believed to be first made by the Chinese in 220 BC for their magical purposes.
Two varied brands of Kombucha will perk up the markets next month at ₤ 4.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
Director Alick Bartholomew of the Kombucha tea Network, promotes the miracle tea as a very effective therapy for the immune system because of its probiotic activity in the intestinal tract.
